Market Street in Ashby during the Statutes

As stewards of the history of Ashby and eight surrounding villages, we pride ourselves in providing educational resources for the community.

The Museum

Our permanent exhibition covers the history of Ashby from pre-history through to the beginning of the 20th century, with interactive elements and kids activities to keep the whole family engaged.

Our temporary exhibits rotate quarterly. Please keep an eye on our ‘What’s On’ page to see our calendar of displays.

Artefact Collection

We take great pride in having an extensive and varied collection of artefacts that we care for. Beyond the items on display in our permanent exhibition is a treasure trove of items looked after and stored with care. Please note that for the wellbeing and security of our collections we do not keep the archive open to the public. For researchers looking to enquire about our collection or a specific item please contact us to arrange a visit.

We offer a photo and document printing service. Please visit the Photographs page to learn more about how you can purchase a print online or in person.
